Franklin Electric’s Pump Selector Now Multilingual

As the first quarter begins, we would like to take this opportunity to reintroduce the Irrigation Pump Selector. By entering in a few pieces of information like design points, fluid properties, and motor sizing, Pump Selector can quickly search across Franklin’s FPS high capacity centrifugal and submersible pump catalog and find the appropriate product for you. It not only provides pump recommendations, but it can also create PDF versions of pump reports, offer cost analysis, develop VFD application curves, and much more!

Both the desktop and online versions of the Irrigation Pump Selector have gone through significant updates to include the latest Franklin products. These updates include, but are not limited to:

  • 4 x 6-13 h
  • Self-priming pumps
  • 6- & 8-inch SR
  • 6-inch, 500 gpm STS

Language support has also been added to both versions. The desktop version now supports English, Spanish, French, German, and Italian, while the online version supports English, French, and Spanish.

New this year, the Pump Selector desktop version is available for download. Series V 4-Inch Check Valve Update

To exemplify these characteristics, Franklin continuously reviews available products to ensure that the highest standards are met This review occasionally results in product modification, better aligning an offering to the market. It is Franklin’s goal to make sure product offerings are the best in class and always capable of meeting customer needs.

As a result of continuous quality improvement, as well as engineering lab testing, field evaluation, and feedback from pump installers, all Series V 4-inch pumps have been updated with a removable, spring-loaded Flomatic® check valve in the pump’s discharge head. This modification takes effect in Series V pumps January 1, 2012.

Be assured that Franklin Electric will continue this process of self-evaluation by monitoring product performance in the field. Our goal remains to offer only pumps designed and built to the highest standards of quality, reliability, and performance.

Franklin Electric 4-inch Submersible High Capacity Pumps: NSF/ANSI 61Agency Approval

NSF/ANSI 61 is the US national standard for components of drinking water systems. Meeting the requirements of this standard ensures that the material contents, manufacturing and  handling are safe and will not cause contamination. For those  in the water systems industry this is especially important, as 95% of products handle water for human or livestock consumption.

Franklin Electric’s primary focus is safety and quality. Franklin 4-inch submersible products have always used NSF/ANSI 61 approved or compliant materials, and for many years our submersible motors have been classified to this standard by Underwriters Laboratories. This past year, Franklin Electric and its suppliers have worked with CSA International to formally certify the premium 4-inch submersible high capacity pump line to the NSF/ANSI 61 standard.

On July 11, 2011 we received notification that the certification process was complete. With the receipt of this certification, Franklin Electric is proud to announce that all 4-inch submersible pumps used in drinking water applications now comply with the NSF/ANSI 61 standard.

Inline Typical Install Guide

Franklin Electric MH Series – Multi-Stage Booster Pumps

Franklin Electric, the global leader in ground water pumping and residential water pressure solutions, is proud to introduce a new product line of horizontal multi-stage centrifugal pumps.

The MH Series features 300-grade stainless steel wetted components and is powered by industry standard AO Smith dual compartment motors.

These pumps are available in 15, 30, and 45 gpm flow rates with motor size ranging from ½ to 2 hp. The multi-stage design varies from 2 to 6 impellers and maximizes performance by horsepower.
